Candace was a girl who lived in the suburbs
But one day she just couldn't take it anymore
So when she was a toddler, she went right by her father
Tied her shoes and ran outside the door

She went to New York City, where the lights are pretty
Well look out city, there's a Candace out on the town

Candace found her way 'round Coney Island
She got a job taking people onto tours
But late one summer evening, the tourists were all screaming
The city was under attack by a dinosaur

She used her superpowers to defeat that monster
Yeah, everybody loved her; the mayor gave her the keys to the city
